DONALD BELCHER is chairman of Banta Corp. Prior to joining the Menasha, WI-based printer in 1995, Belcher spent 24 years with Avery Dennison. When the opportunity to take the helm at Banta presented itself, it fulfilled Belcher’s dream of leading a publicly held company. Belcher drew upon his experiences at Avery Dennison. But he attributes much of his success to the early training he gained from being in The Boy Scouts of America. This is where he says he acquired the nuts and bolts, the morals and values necessary to position Banta into a billion-dollar empire. His proudest accomplishment is reflected in his marriage to his wife Marie of 40 years and his three children and two grandchildren. Belcher has degrees from Dartmouth, Stanford business school and spent two years on active duty in the Army. He has plans to retire in April 2004.
