Printer R.C. Brayshaw Named New Hampshire’s 2012 Green Business of the Year
WARNER, NH—August 1, 2012—The New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development has recognized R.C. Brayshaw & Co., a digital and wide-format printer, as the state’s 2012 Green Business of the Year.
“When my father, Richard C. Brayshaw started the company in 1979, he made a commitment to do whatever was necessary to protect the environment,” stated Tom Brayshaw, president and CEO. “Based on the examples he set, we have always concentrated on doing what is right. My staff and I are overwhelmed and deeply honored by this award and can think of no better tribute to my father’s legacy.”
The presentation of the award, along with a Citation of Congratulations from New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, took place at Greenerpalooza, an annual event held at Meadowbrook in Gilford, NH.
“Being an environmentally friendly company that includes printing as part of its services takes a lot of work,” noted Christopher Way, of the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development. “The company recognizes the value and importance of the written words on printed materials we hold in our hands. They are mindful of managing their materials and limiting landfill waste, and they have earned certification from the Forest Stewardship Council for their practices.
“R.C. Brayshaw is a company that understands what it takes to protect the environment,” Way continued. “When I state that some companies seem to ‘get it’ when it comes to prudent environmental practices, I can assure you that R.C. Brayshaw is a company that ‘really gets it!’”
With three locations in Warner and West Lebanon, NH, the business began in the historic Waterloo Train Station, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Expanding into multiple marketing services including integrated marketing, digital printing, wide-format production, mobile marketing, CD/DVD duplication, and more, R.C. Brayshaw expanded in 2007 by building a second facility in Warner, and again by acquiring a third facility in 2010 in West Lebanon, NH.
In closing, Brayshaw added, “Our commitment to environmental awareness is ongoing and means taking a responsible approach at all our facilities and operations. We always look for ways to help make our communities better places to live and raise our families.”
