Banta Corp., Mensasha, WI, announced the appointment of David Engelkemeyer to vice president of worldwide operations. He assumes senior executive leadership responsibilities for all of Banta's manufacturing operations, which include the corporation's print, supply-chain management and healthcare facilities.

Michael Sullivan has assumed the duties and office of president and general manager of Envelopes & More. He replaces his father, John Sullivan, who led the Bloomfield, CT-based company since its inception in 1990. He will remain with the organization in an advisory capacity.

Kevin Rickard, vice president of operations at Rickard Bindery in Chicago, has been elected president of Binding Industries Association International (BIA) for a two-year term.

KBA North America's 74 Karat users have a customer user group, which met in Tampa, FL, in February. Twenty-six people, representing 11 firms, attended the meeting. Blackhawk Corp., a commercial printer based in Clearwater, FL, hosted the meeting. Representatives from KBA in Germany also attended. This was the third meeting held, with three planned per year. The second meeting will be held in June with a date and site to be determined, and a third meeting is planned for later this fall.

Baltimore-based Vertis has announced the appointment of four new sales leaders in the automotive, financial, insurance and nonprofit markets. They include: Joe DiMeglio, vice president, sales, for the automotive national account team; Anthony Hegarty, vice president, sales, for the financial national account team; Mike Lawson, national director, sales, for the insurance national account team; and Tommi Thornbury Pryor, national director, sales, for the nonprofit national account team.

Graphic Press, Los Angeles, announced the addition of John Vogelsang and David Owen Taylor to the company's sales roster. Vogelsang assumes the title of senior account executive with additional management responsibilities. Taylor fills the position of senior sales representative. Both join Graphic Press from George Rice & Sons.

Bentley Graphic Communications, a sheetfed printer in Pottstown, PA, has named Robert Tursack principal and COO of the company. Tursack is former owner and CEO of Tursack Inc., a printer in Morgantown, PA.

Nationwide Laminating, Lorton, VA, has hired Reavis Swett as a sales representative. He was most recently employed by Capitol Laminating.

New Castle, DE-based EnvelopeAmerica has promoted Rich Gommer from press operator to lead pressman.

Litho Inc., of Saint Paul, MN, recently expanded its sales team through the hiring of Wade Olsen. Prior to joining Litho Inc., Olsen worked for Quebecor World and Banta Corp. in their catalog and publications divisions.
