June 6, 2014
AUGUSTA, ME—J.S. McCarthy Printers, located here, has purchased the customer base and certain assets of Printech, based in Stamford, CT. Printech co-owners Carmine Furci and Ed Furci will join J.S. McCarthy as members of its management team, focusing on areas of manufacturing and sales. The Printech division of J.S. McCarthy will continue to operate from the Stamford location that Printech has occupied for 19 years.

“We appreciate that both Carmine and Ed think highly enough of us to trust that their customer relationships will be maintained and enhanced with access to our extensive platform of additional capabilities,” said Rick Tardiff, president of J.S. McCarthy. “We are pleased to have them both come on board with us and are looking forward to their help as we work together to expand and grow our company.”

Carmine Furci also added: “We are very excited about the opportunity to work with Rick and other members of the J.S. McCarthy team. They have a long-standing reputation as an innovative and industry-leading company. We know that our customers will benefit from the increased capabilities and services of a company with a highly trusted name in our industry.”

The NAPL Business Advisory Group provided advisory services to J.S. McCarthy on the transaction.
