CAROL STREAM, IL—August 29, 2011—Prime UV, the world’s leading manufacturer of UV dryers for newspaper presses will be highlighting the acclaimed Prime UV Perfection Dryer series. This exclusive design for high speed newspaper and coldset web presses cures both sides of the web at speeds over 3,000 fpm. Installed in over 34 countries, Prime UV Perfection dryers are famed for its environmental benefits, and the low cost of installation and capital equipment.

Designed to eliminate all the components of the costly heat set printing process, including gas fired ovens, natural gas consumption and afterburner, as well as chill rolls to cool down the web, the Prime UV Perfection dryer delivers instant, cool drying of four-color process, solids, and black on every substrate including highest gloss coated stocks. Installed on singlewide, and doublewide highspeed newspaper presses the Prime UV Perfection Dryers include an Ethernet connection to Prime UV’s Engineering Lab for troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance service.

The newest addition to the Prime UV Perfection Dryers series is the M110 series. “We’ve seen an upsurge in companies looking to replace heatset dryers with Prime UV Perfection Dryers. They can be easily installed after the last print unit on a commercial web inline press including Harris, Heidelberg, Goss, Mitsubishi, KBA, manroland, and Komori Chambon web presses and cure both side of the web at speeds in excess of 2000 fpm.”

The Prime UV Perfection dryers can also installed interstation after each of the color units on all commercial web presses. They are rated by the EPA as BACT (Best Available Control Technology), and are recommended to eliminate VOCs and emissions in the press room.

Also on show at Prime UV Booth #2661 will be Prime UV FLEXfilm Advanced UV curing system that can be easily installed after the last color unit on CI flexo presses and guarantees complete cure of UV flexo ink on flexible film substrates.
