Practical Advice Abounds at Sheetfed Pressroom Event
In other conference events, Jerry Williamson, chairman and CEO of Dallas-based Williamson Printing, was named the 1999 Sheetfed Executive of the Year.
The conference’s keynote speaker was Charles Garfield, who worked on the Apollo 11 moon landing mission. He articulated the how-to secrets of high achievers and their companies, while noting that low pay and not-so-great working conditions did not prevent his team from putting men on the moon.
“Articulation of a mission that inspires participation” was the basis of Apollo 11, he stated.
Garfield concluded by saying, “In this era, one person’s miracle is another’s job. And anyone who does not believe in miracles is not a realist.”
