PowerMonitor Protects Polar High-speed Cutters from Needless Service Assignments

DRUPA—05/29/08—The PowerMonitor, one of our drupa innovations for POLAR XT cutters, indicates critical peak loads arising in the cutting process and allows an early intervention.
Similar to a tachometer in the car, the load on the high-speed cutter is displayed for each cut. The operator can easily see during the cutting process at which point the load is reaching a critical range.
The operator can decide according to the situation if the load has been caused by a blunt knife (change the knife) or by particularly hard material (lower the clamp opening), and react before the safety bolt breaks or the cutting quality goes down.
This option ensures that POLAR’s XT models, as of the 115 versions, are fit for use and provide a consistent cutting quality.
