PIA Unveils Online Integrated Learning Center for Training and Development
PITTSBURGH—May 16, 2014—Printing Industries of America has announced the unveiling of its Integrated Learning Center, the latest offering of the Integrated Print Center. Designed to make training and development easy and affordable, the Integrated Learning Center provides online workshops on topics that matter most to graphic communication businesses. The virtual workshop platform kicks off with the online version of Printing Industries’ most popular workshop, Orientation to the Graphic Arts. A favorite course for getting new hires up to speed on printing methods, the lingo and typical workflow for print-centric projects, the online Orientation course offers seven hours of instruction and features periodic quizzes and a final test that has to be completed before the student receives a certificate of completion.
The Integrated Learning Center’s online courses are all developed and led by industry expert instructors. With an ever-expanding lineup of workshops, there are courses catering to professionals in prepress, production, customer service, sales, marketing, safety, and general management. In addition to Orientation to the Graphic Arts courses include:
- Photoshop Color Correction for Production—Prepress staff will learn to create print-ready images using Photoshop software.
- Introduction to Color Management for Offset & Digital—Color match skills press professionals can apply immediately.
Additional training programs including a full suite of sales training classes with titles like The Key to Consultative Selling, Escaping the Price-Driven Sales, Managing Your Team Using a Pipeline and How the Experts Earn Long-term Accounts will be released in the second quarter.
