Terri Dannenberg, Senior Partner & Executive Director, Print Production, Ogilvy New York

Marisa Fariña, Group Publisher, Time Out

Paul Nicholson, Vice President of Print & Broadcast Production, Showtime Networks Inc.

Entering its 23rd year, the Luminaire Award recognizes the outstanding achievements and personal dedication of print professionals who are committed to educating themselves and others, and who are innovators in their field. The recipients fulfill three criteria:

• Achievement – demonstrated success over a career as a partner in the print media supply chain,

• Innovation – consistently seeks new insights and approaches to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of print media, and

• Commitment – supports educational programs and initiatives to develop the next generation of print production professionals.

Announcing the honorees, Barozzi said, “The 2010 Luminaire Award recipients are exceptional, showing the vitality of print media and its ability to meet the demands of a revolutionary market. We were pleased to work with a selection committee of nine past Luminaire Award recipients to make the 2010 selection of honorees.” Rivera-Ramos added, “The constant in print media is change, but its fundamental strength is its professionals who adopt, grow, and give back.”

The print media community gathers each year to honor the Luminaire Award recipients in a gala event celebrating the honorees and the industry.  The 2010 event will take place:

Wednesday, April 7, 2010
6:30-9:00pm Eastern
The Pierre Hotel
5th Avenue at 61st Street
New York, NY

The 2010 Luminaire Award recipient will receive an award in the shape of a flame, specially commissioned and handcrafted, to represent the flame of commitment and inspiration.  In addition, during the event, IDEAlliance will present its annual awards.

Acknowledging the need to develop tomorrow’s media professionals, the Luminaire Awards Dinner is a fundraiser, through the P3 Foundation and the IDEAlliance Digital Enterprise Education & Research (DEER) Foundation, for scholarships to students in advertising, media, printing, and publishing.  Special sponsorship programs are available to support the fundraising drive.
