Old Sunny Industries May Close Again
July 2008
MAZOMANIE, WI—Just 16 months after it was rescued from receivership, the former Sunny Industries is slated to close its doors once again. The 350,000-square-foot facility—now called Synergy Web Graphics following its acquisition by Synergy Graphics of Plymouth, MN—will shutter on September 19, the Wisconsin State Journal reported. The move will leave 125 workers without jobs.
The paper reported that court documents showed the company owing $11 million to a Cincinnati bank, $2 million to trade accounts and $5 million in other unnamed liabilities. Synergy Graphics purchased Sunny in March of 2007 for $7.8 million.
