NPES Presents Gegenheimer Awards to W. Bruce Goodwin, Xerox

RESTON, VA—October 28, 2009—NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies has awarded its Harold W. Gegenheimer Individual and Corporate Awards for Industry Service to W. Bruce Goodwin and Xerox Corp., respectively. The awards, named for the former NPES president and Baldwin Technology Company chairman emeritus, recognize leadership and participation in NPES and industry activities, civic leadership and technical innovation. They were presented at the NPES 2009 Annual Conference, held October 24󈞆, in Aventura, Florida.

Goodwin, the recipient of the individual award, has been in the graphic communications business for over 30 years. Currently he is Director of Glunz & Jensen, Inc., the North American operations of Glunz & Jensen A/S, the leading supplier of CtP plate processing and punch bending technology for the newspaper and commercial printing markets. Prior to joining Glunz & Jensen in 1995, Goodwin was General Manager of LogEtronics Corporation, and President of Luth International Inc. manufacturers of graphic arts film processing technology.

A passionate supporter of the industry, Goodwin has served on the NPES Board of Directors for the past eight years and on various NPES committees for the past 15 years. His involvement in NPES has included service on the government affairs, programs & meetings, international trade, market data, and nominating committees. He also is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the NPES Board of Directors.
