Snow Causes Roof Collapse at PA Printer

February 7, 2014
CRAFTON, PA—Heavy snow caused a roof to collapse on Calabrese Printing on Wednesday morning, and the owner of the small commercial printing establishment says it could be months before the company will reopen, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Mike Calabrese Jr., owner of the business, was en route to work when he received a call from police, notifying him of the incident. There were no injuries, and it appears to be a simple case of the roof giving way due to the weight of the snow.

Calabrese told the newspaper that most of the damage to the building and equipment will be covered by his insurance. But the 35-year-old printing business, which provides commercial offset printing, may require four to five months for repairs before it can reopen.
