FORT WORTH, TX—02/26/07—With a large percentage of its customers in the demanding telecommunications business, Motivating Graphics, Inc. needs press delivery and finishing technology it can depend on to meet tough deadlines and changing production challenges. For many years, that technology has been supplied by Muller Martini. Recently, in order to become even more responsive to its customers’ needs, Motivating Graphics installed a Muller Martini AvantiPlus log stacker with AMRYS and a BravoPlus T saddle stitcher.

“As a printer who serves the telecommunications industry, our customers’ products require certain types of equipment...and Muller Martini is able to support our needs,” says Ray C. Clark, Vice President at Motivating Graphics. “We feel that the addition of Muller Martini equipment provides our company with an edge, an opportunity to further develop our customer base.”

Motivating Graphics, Inc. is a full-service shop employing over 300 people and providing multi-color printing, as well as complete binding services, digital print-on-demand, CD replication and custom-made product packaging materials. The company’s Texas facility occupies 160,000 square feet and features highly advanced production machinery. Along with its large customer base in the telecom marketplace, Motivating Graphics also serves many customers in the electronics industry and in several other varied industries.

Since the installation of the Muller Martini AvantiPlus stacker and BravoPlus T saddle stitcher, Motivating Graphics has experienced a significant increase in operational efficiency. “With the equipment, we’ve been able to perform quick changeovers and run at a higher speed than before,” continues Mr. Clark. “Because of the quick turnaround time, we’ve gained productivity and this allows us to better meet unforeseen and drop-in demands from our customers.”

The AMRYS equipped Muller Martini AvantiPlus log stacker delivers superior log quality by tightly controlling the conditioning of signatures – reducing downtime and waste while boosting throughput. AvantiPlus has touchscreen controls for entering all production parameters quickly and conveniently. What’s more, the machine’s job management system enables information such as stacking pressure, bundle advancing speed and the number/position of straps to be stored electronically and recalled easily.

For an even higher level of efficiency, the AvantiPlus at Motivating Graphics is configured with AMRYS (Automatic Make-Ready System) technology, allowing all data to be called up immediately from the job management system and then transferred to the various production axes.

The user-friendly Muller Martini BravoPlus T saddle stitcher provides a level of automation that is unmatched in the mid-range performance class. Capable of producing product at 11,000 c/hr., BravoPlus T delivers maximum uptime and exceptional net output. When equipped with partial AMRYS, BravoPlus T offers convenient and highly efficient computer-aided make-ready and changeover, enabling fast set-ups and allowing the machine to be customized in moments to meet changing job requirements.
