Muller Martini to Present a New Generation of Machines

April 2008
HAUPPAUGE, NY—4/23/08—Recently, you may have noticed ads featuring a bright blue tree standing in a green landscape. Underneath the tree is the phrase “Grow with us.” Muller Martini has been using this message to arouse the curiosity of drupa visitors, indicating that attendees to the show can expect something very special, something very new at the Muller Martini booth in Hall 14 / B38. The drupa show takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, May 29-June 11, 2008.

As a symbol of strength, durability and constant renewal, the tree embodies key Muller Martini values such as partnership, trust, quality and sustainable profitability as well as the strength it takes to provide continuous innovations. Muller Martini will put this strength to the test at drupa with a new generation of machines.

New products from the areas of saddle stitching, perfect binding, hardcover production, OnDemand Solutions, web offset printing, press delivery systems and newspaper mailroom systems will be exhibited at Muller Martini’s 29,000 square foot booth. All of these products have one thing in common: Their appeal lies not only in ultramodern ergonomic design but also in innovative, pioneering technology.

With the drupa slogan “Grow with us,“ Muller Martini is underscoring its close partnerships with companies in the graphic arts industry – partnerships that began decades ago. Discussions between partners will also be a focus for the Muller Martini experts at drupa. The “Grow with us” slogan additionally underscores the modular design of Muller Martini’s systems. For many years, the proven modular system has provided customers with the flexibility to adjust quickly to new production requirements.

The trend toward digital networking of separate production stages is continuing relentlessly. In keeping with this trend, Muller Martini will be presenting fully networked, workflow-enabled solutions offering entirely new functionality and even more user-friendliness. Therefore, the company’s drupa slogan also stands for more output, higher productivity and even greater profitability.

In addition to its own booth in Hall 14 / B38, Muller Martini will also be collaborating with other companies and exhibiting at other halls at drupa: A 4-color offset printing press will be demonstrated under production conditions with integrated 2-color digital printing at the Kodak booth in Hall 5 / D01. This demonstration will be of interest to printers in the direct mail and security segments. In Hall 6 / B03 at the Palamides booth, Muller Martini will be exhibiting a saddle stitcher in combination with a banding unit, and, at the Océ booth in Hall 6 / A44 and the Xerox booth in Hall 8b / A78, drupa visitors will be able to see digital book production with SigmaLine components.
