WOBURN, MA—Font and imaging technologies specialist Monotype Imaging has acquired Linotype GmbH, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschninen known for its Linotype Library.
Linotype will remain in Bad Homburg, Germany, where it will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Monotype Imaging.
The Linotype Library is best known for typefaces including Helvetica, Frutiger and Optima.
