Monarch Litho Will Expand

April 2004
MONTEBELLO, CA—Though not official, Monarch Litho has confirmed that it intends to build a 225,000-square-foot printing facility in New Mexico.

The building, located on the Santa Teresa border with Mexico, will carry a price tag of $41 million and is slated to open in October of this year. A spokesperson for Monarch Litho said the company is still in negotiations for the building.

According to New Mexico Business Weekly, the state of New Mexico has offered $2.1 million to Monarch Litho in tax credits and in-plant training funds for the facility, while Doña Ana County is offering property tax abatements of $4.6 million over 20 years.
