Drahtwerk Friedr. Lötters, part of the Lotters Group, is a family owned company and has produced high quality wires for niche markets for over 100 years. Longstanding experience in wire processing technologies combined with state-of-the-art-machinery is the key to produce superior wires for the Printing, Binding and Newspaper Industries. Communication, education, and support is the basis to create mutual added value for all our customers.

The full control of the entire manufacturing process from selected rod grade, delivered by European steel mills up to the finished product guarantees a High Quality Stitching Wire with excellent consistent manufacturing properties. The electro plated zinc layer has a smooth homogenous structure to avoid contamination of the stitching head parts.

The usage of our self-designed de-spooling systems for all types of spools and drums helps to achieve a stable tangle free wire pay-off. This improves the efficiency in bindery and is necessary to avoid unforeseen breakdowns during the binding operation.

Always at the edge of the newest developments Lotters launched the new LDRUM-straight and easy. This presentation, specially designed for the stitching wire usage, offers many advantages for the binderies.

Lotters is one of the few producers of polymer coated Double Loop and Spiral Binding Wire in the world. The self-developed coating process of very thin PET-layers with a strong bonding between the coating and the core wire allows high speed production in the forming and binding process. A large color range and the brilliant shiny metallic colors are available for the production of high end quality notebooks. The electro tin coated wire is recommended for the price sensitive mass production of spiral binding note books.
