Leading Healthcare Purchasing Organization and WorkflowOne Sign New Agreement

April 2007
DAYTON, OH—April 11, 2007—WorkflowOne announced today that Premier Inc., the largest healthcare alliance in the U.S., has agreed to a new contract with WorkflowOne to provide document management services to Premier’s 1,700 member hospitals and 45,000 other healthcare sites across the United States.

The total sales volume for Premier member facilities for the entire document management category is estimated to be more than $300 million over the three-year term of the contract, which goes into effect May 1. WorkflowOne is among several suppliers chosen to provide products and services in this category.

WorkflowOne is a supplier to three of the top five health care group purchasing organizations in the U.S., representing more than 8,000 acute and non-acute care facilities. As the fastest growing brand in healthcare document management, WorkflowOne has increased sales to Premier members five-fold since 2004.

“No one is better prepared to help Premier members reduce costs and gain efficiencies across their entire document supply chain than WorkflowOne,” said Mike Zawalski, president and CEO for the company. “With a national network of 37 manufacturing and distribution facilities, more than 1,700 certified trade partners and consultative field representatives strategically located across the U.S., WorkflowOne is equipped to meet every need, from forms and labels to promotional products. Our broad national footprint allows us to be within 3 hours of 96% of Premier’s members.”

In addition to document and print management, WorkflowOne provides analytical services and technology to help hospitals and IDNs manage their brand-related spend. These include a document needs assessment and output management analysis to determine the optimal ways to produce, store and distribute documents. Recommendations cover the role of internal print shops, better ways to manage fleets of copiers and desktop printers, and advice on migration to electronic medical records. The company also offers a web-based system called WorkflowOneAccess to facilitate e-commerce, inventory management, digital asset management and reporting. The portal can be tailored to support any hospital’s identity standards and organizational structure.
