Journal Communications Sells PrimeNet Direct Marketing Business to Management

MILWAUKEE—Feb 10, 2010—Journal Communications, Inc. (JRN) today announced the sale of its PrimeNet operations in Clearwater, FL, to PrimeNet Direct Marketing Solutions, LLC, a new company owned by PrimeNet President Mark Keefe, as Journal exits the direct marketing business.

PrimeNet’s mailing service operations in St. Paul, MN, were sold in a separate transaction last week to Minneapolis-based Impact Proven Solutions. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed. PrimeNet provides nationwide direct marketing solutions to marketers of automotive, retail, publishing and financial services products.

For Journal Communications’ accounting purposes, PrimeNet will be treated as a discontinued operation in 2010 financial statements.
