IKON to Lay off 300+ Employees

MALVERN, PA--IKON Office Solutions, which recently agreed to be acquired by Ricoh Americas, plans to close 23 of its 71 offices that provide document management products and services to the legal industry. As a result, it will lay off 265 people in the United States and another 50 in Europe. IKON, which filed the move with the Securities and Exchange Commission, expects to record charges of $7 million pre-tax, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The closings will take place during this quarter.
