Heidelberg USA Releases New Product Installation Report
January 2007
KENNESAW, GA—January 31, 2007—Heidelberg USA announces the following sample of new product installations:
Advance Graphics and Printing Sees Advanced Results with Printmaster PM 52
Jim and Naomi Tuttle, owners of Advance Graphics and Printing in Chandler , Oklahoma , say the primary focus in their printing business is customer service through efficiency and automation. To keep up with their growing business, they installed a Heidelberg 5-color Printmaster PM 52 with perfector and a Prosetter 52 with SCL and prepress interface for increased speed and quality. The Tuttles say results have been “fantastic” and noted that they can now keep more jobs in-house due to the efficiency of their new press’ perfector. Advance Graphics and Printing has come a long way since it installed its first Heidelberg press in 1999. It now produces twice the business with half the employees. With those results, the Tuttles say they will only buy Heidelberg printing equipment because of its quality and the company’s service. They say the last time they called a Heidelberg service agent, he showed up in less than 24 hours from out of state -- and in the middle of an ice storm. “I didn’t expect anyone to make it in,” says Jim. “I barely made it the six miles to work that day.” Founded in 1984, Advance Graphics and Printing has four employees. In addition to general commercial printing, the company serves real estate and auction customers nationwide.
Western States Envelope & Label Seals Success with POLAR 155 XT
Western States Envelope & Label knows the importance of quality cutting. Department Manager Matt Frittitta installed a new POLAR 155 XT in his cutting department at the company’s Butler , Wis. headquarters, replacing an older model. “We knew it was time to replace our old model, which was approximately 20 years old,” Frittitta said. After comparing new POLAR models to other cutters on the market, Frittitta noted that “when it came down to the mechanical advantages, we were concerned with some of the other brands.” Since installing the POLAR 155 XT a few months ago, the company has experienced less downtime and faster turnaround. These results are important to the success of this 24 hour-a-day plant, which produces more than seven million envelopes each day. “The touch screen is nice, and the 155 XT has a much faster back-gauge,” Frittitta said. Because of these results, Western States’ Ohio division decided to increase its capacity by installing a new POLAR 155 XT as well. The company, founded in 1908, has divisions in Wisconsin , Kentucky , Ohio and Minnesota with more than 700 employees that serve national and international printers and mailing companies. According to Frittitta, Western States will continue to look to Heidelberg in the future for new POLAR equipment purchases.
