Graphic Packaging Will Close Label Plant

ST. CHARLES, IL--Graphic Packaging intends to permanently close its plant here at some point during the first quarter of 2009, according to the Kane County Chronicle, leaving roughly 100 workers without jobs. The move is intended to help streamline the label business of Graphic Packaging, which is taking steps to trim $90 million in costs. The facility provides cut and stack paper labels for the food and health care industries.
