Federal Survey Shows an Increase in GPO Employee Job Satisfaction and Morale Scores
WASHINGTON — September 23, 2016 — U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) employees' job satisfaction and morale have improved significantly and are higher than the Government wide average, according to the results of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) 2016 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey. Since GPO began participating in the survey in 2012, the agency has seen positive scores increase in many key areas including leadership, diversity, security and emergency preparedness, provision of training opportunities, and intrinsic work experiences.
GPO received a score of 69% from employees in The Global Satisfaction Index, which measures employees’ overall satisfaction with their work experience. That score is eight points higher than the Government wide average of 61%.
GPO also received a score of 69% from employees in the Employee Engagement Index Trends, which evaluates leaders, supervisors and intrinsic work experiences. That score is four points higher than the Government wide average of 65%.
