MADISON, WI—July 28, 2011—Gov. Scott Walker announced that Freedom Graphic Systems, Milton, WI, is eligible for up to $138,000 in economic development tax credits allocated by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. for planned equipment upgrades at its facility. The project is expected to create 13 new jobs, along with retention of 181 current positions.

“I’m pleased we were able to assist Freedom with this exciting project,” said Gov. Walker. “The company’s investment will increase its efficiency and competitiveness, which translates into economic growth and job creation.”

“We are pleased that the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has agreed to support Freedom in our investment in a new generation of equipment,” said company owner and CEO Marty Liebert. “This exciting new digital press technology will open Freedom to new markets and broaden existing sales channels. It is an investment in our future and a signal to our customers and employees that we intend to prosper for another 25 years and beyond.”

Freedom Graphic Systems is one of the nation’s largest independent direct mail companies.  It provides direct mail printing, personalization, mailing, logistics and multichannel direct marketing solutions. Freedom will invest more than $5 million to acquire a digital printing press and other equipment that will expedite its operations.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Freedom has been based in Milton since its founding, and has grown into one of the community’s largest employers.
