Goss International Continues Focus on New Ways for Print at Graph Expo 2008

September 2008
BOLINGBROOK, IL—September 4, 2008—Goss International will showcase innovative technologies, unique opportunities and an expanding product range at Graph Expo this year, continuing its drupa theme of New Ways for Print.

The all-new Goss M-600 Folia press will take center stage in the form of a video presentation highlighting its performance at drupa in May. Combining sheetfed and web concepts, the innovative press with new sheeter technology developed exclusively with VITS can double the productivity of sheetfed perfectors while printing on coated stocks without a dryer.

Sunday press, Automatic Transfer, pinless folding, Autoplate, FPS, DigiRail and digital workflow technologies will be among the other unique Goss developments featured at the show, along with Goss International’s overall focus on highly automated web offset production for shorter runs, lower waste levels and more efficient productivity.

Goss International will also present information on its 96-page Sunday 5000 press, the GossRSVP program and shaftless Pacesetter saddlestitchers, including a new full-format Pacesetter 1600 model introduced at drupa. Gapless blanket technology, precision machining and cooperation with auxiliary and consumables suppliers have enabled the wider 96-page platform. The first Sunday 5000 press will be installed in Italy later this year with a web width of 112 inches (2860 millimeters). The GossRSVP program utilizes 2-D barcodes and cell phone technology, making print more interactive and presenting new business opportunities for printers, publishers and advertisers.

The Graph Expo show will be held from October 26 to 29 at McCormick Place in Chicago. For more information on the Goss International technologies being featured at the show, please visit www.gossinternational.com
