General Press Takes Top Neographics Prize

PHILADELPHIA—More than 300 printers and industry suppliers from around the greater Delaware Valley flocked to the Crystal Tea Room in the Wanamaker Building last Thursday night for the 36th annual Neographics awards gala sponsored by the Graphic Arts Association (GAA).
General Press, Natrona Heights, PA, beat out nearly 400 entries to capture the coveted Power of Print award for printing Akzo Nobel’s 2007 calendar. Philip Paravano, 85, of Paravano Co. in Doylestown, PA, was honored as the Person of the Year and Montoursville, PA-based Grit Commercial Printing’s Rick Stryker was named Press Person of the Year.
