Gämmerler is Acquired by Bielenberg Beteiligungs

PALMETTO, FL—February 14, 2007—Gämmerler AG, a leading supplier of postpress equipment and systems for the printing industry has been acquired by Bielenberg Beteiligungs GmbH. 

Under the new ownership, Gerhard Winklhofer will become the new Chairman of Gämmerler AG’s Supervisory Board and Dr. Kai Bielenberg, will be appointed as a member of Gämmerler’s Board of Directors. Dr. Robert Moll will remain in his current position as CEO of Gämmerler AG. Company founder, Hagen Gämmerler, who retains a minority of the company’s shares, will assist the Board of Directors as Chairman of the Advisory Council. Gunter Gämmerler will continue to manage the company’s US subsidiary as CEO of Gämmerler Inc.

Gerhard Winklhofer and Dr. Kai Bilenberg both have strong industrial manufacturing backgrounds. Under Gerhard Winklhofer’s leadership, Iwis Kettensysteme, a German chain manufacturer, achieved cost leadership in the marketplace and was selected as supplier-of-the-year by both Ford Motor Company and Opel AG. The company was also honored by the Bavarian government as the winner of the Bavarian Quality award.

The new owners plan to leverage their knowledge of quality programs and cost-leadership strategies to improve on Gämmerler’s current success and to enhance customer service beyond the point of purchase.
