Finch, Pruyn Puts Business Up for Sale

GLENS FALLS, NY—The Finch, Pruyn & Co. paper mill and manufacturing facilities here are being offered for sale. The company issued a statement, noting it has retained advisers to aid in the soliciting and evaluation of offers.
The company hasn’t received any offers as of yet and will continue its manufacturing operations.
Shareholders are hoping to capitalize at a time when the company has shown much improvement. Customer demand for Finch, Pruyn’s premium uncoated printing and writing papers has rebounded this year, according to the company. Orders for Finch, Pruyn’s premium text and cover papers, especially its signature product, Finch Fine, have also been solid.
