FedEx Kinko’s to Introduce Locations in McCormick Place

August 2007
DALLAS/CHICAGO—Aug. 9, 2007—FedEx Kinko’s, an operating company of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), and the Metropolitan Pier and Exhibition Authority (MPEA) today announced plans to open five office and print centers in the McCormick Place convention center and historic Navy Pier in Chicago. Detailed plans provide for four locations to open within the convention center facility and one in Navy Pier later this fall.

The presence of FedEx Kinko’s in McCormick Place will provide the convention center’s nearly three million annual visitors with convenient access to high-quality office, printing and shipping services all in one place, without leaving the facility. In addition, customers anywhere in the world may submit orders online for production at the new FedEx Kinko’s locations, saving the hassle of traveling with hefty materials and presentations.

“At FedEx Kinko’s, we are aggressively working to expand our network of digitally-connected locations to meet customers’ needs,” says Ken May, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Kinko’s. “The new locations planned for McCormick Place and Navy Pier will enhance our ability to provide customers, such as conference exhibitors and attendees, with more centralized access to our products and services. Also, these centers are part of our expansion effort to open 320 new locations worldwide in the 2008 fiscal year.”

The new FedEx Kinko’s centers will be located in the North, South, and West Buildings and Lakeside Center (formerly the East Building). Similar to stand-alone FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Centers, these locations will offer copying and digital printing services, sign and banner production, FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipping options, and more.

“We strive to provide our customers with the finest service and amenities, so we’re happy to partner with a provider renowned for its excellence like FedEx Kinko’s,” said Juan Ochoa, chief executive officer of the MPEA. “We know our show organizers, exhibitors and attendees will appreciate the convenience of having these centers conveniently located at our facilities.”

FedEx Kinko’s has long been a trusted resource for meeting and convention professionals. The company opened its first convention center-based location in 1994 at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando. Today, FedEx Kinko’s has locations at 11 top meeting facilities around the country, including the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC), and the San Diego Convention Center. In addition, FedEx Kinko’s has locations in 13 popular hotels around the United States, including one near the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia and another near the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
