Ennis Obtains Assets of Block Graphics

MIDLOTHIAN, TX—Business forms specialist Ennis Inc. has signed a letter of intent to acquire virtually all the assets of Portland, OR-based Block Graphics. The deal, which includes facilities in suburban Denver and two in California, Paso Robles and Sun City, augments Ennis’ short-run print platform and adds envelope production.
According to Ennis, many of the Block Graphics employees will become part of the Ennis organization. Block is currently held by an ESOP formed 10 years ago to acquire the company from founder Bill Block.
Block Graphics posted $35 million in sales for 2005.
