EFI Appoints Filip Buyse as General Manager of Digital StoreFront, PrintSmith
FOSTER CITY, CA—Oct. 27, 2011—EFI, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, announced that Filip Buyse has joined the company as the general manager of EFI Digital StoreFront and EFI PrintSmith, a newly created position. Buyse, an international industry leader with extensive graphic arts industry experience, is responsible for the overall global vision, business development, messaging and management of these two software product lines.
Buyse was most recently president and CEO of Prism Group, a leading MIS provider that was acquired by EFI in August. His prior experience includes several senior sales positions, serving as vice president of sales for the Americas at Creo Inc., vice president of sales at Heidelberg Web Press, and vice president of worldwide sales at Printcafe (which was purchased by EFI in 2003). Buyse has an extensive international background, having worked on the American continent, as well as in Europe and Asia. He is active in the graphic arts industry as a member of PIA and the Web Offset Society.
