C.P. Bourg Takes on Distribution of Adventure PUR Perfect Binder
NEW BEDFORD, MA—Feb. 17, 2011—C.P. Bourg Inc., the U.S.-based headquarters of the world’s leading developer and supplier of document feeding, binding and finishing equipment, announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Italian binder manufacturer New Bind to distribute the compact and efficient Adventure PUR perfect binder throughout the Americas as the Bourg BB Adventure binder.
Under the agreement, C.P. Bourg Inc. is responsible for sales, service and support of the Bourg BB Adventure binder throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Central and South America.
The Bourg BB Adventure binder will be formally unveiled as part of the C.P. Bourg product line in the company’s booth, #955, at the Graphics of the Americas tradeshow being held February 24-26 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The new binder is also being previewed at the Dscoop6 conference in Orlando, February 17-19.
The Bourg BB Adventure takes its place alongside the Bourg BB3002 series as a compact and user-friendly PUR perfect binder for soft and hard cover production that offers exceptional productivity and quality in a small footprint. The highly affordable single-clamp binder comes up from a cold start within 13 minutes to produce books up to 2 inches thick with spine lengths from 4.7 inches to 17.7 inches at up to 200 cycles per hour. Other "big system" features include automatic spine thickness sensing for "book of one" production, adjustable milling, 50-job programmable memory with auto setup, and a color touchscreen enabling operator control through a graphical user interface.
The Bourg BB Adventure binder also features a patented self-sealing nozzle that dispenses a thin bead of PUR or hot-melt while preventing air from compromising the remaining adhesive. In addition to the cost savings achieved by eliminating waste, the Bourg BB Adventure utilizes a two-tank design with an automatic cleaning cycle that makes it easy to add a glue slug while eliminating messy and time-consuming maintenance procedures at start-up and shut-down.
