Cox Printers, Linden, NJ, Creates a Buzz About Bees, Local Businesses at Second Annual Honey Harvest
LINDEN, NJ—October 28, 2014—Cox Printers in Linden, NJ, recently hosted its Second Annual Honey Harvest. This years’ event was expanded into a Cross Pollination Expo and Honey Harvest. It was an invigorating evening that included a number of business partners, such as Investors Bank, Grey Sky Films, Arctic Falls Water, Sound Board Consulting Group, Reliable Recycling, Pied Piper Liquors and The Gateway Chamber. Each partner complemented one another as they presented their services to a host of friends and local businesses. The highlight of the event was Bee Bold Apiaries, as they demonstrated the importance of the honeybee and how honey is harvested from a hive. In addition, the only mead maker in New Jersey, Sergio Moutela of Melovino, was present to speak about the many intricacies involved in the craft of making mead.
Why all the excitement about honeybees? With help from beekeepers Joe Lelinho and Eric Hanan of Bee Bold Apiaries, Owner of Cox Printers Michael Kaufman, started a bee farm on his rooftop a couple of years ago. Together, they are spreading the word about the importance of the honeybee and how their recent decline is a concern for us all. Honeybees are a valuable resource that benefits society as a whole. Without the honeybee, a majority of our food source would be a risk. Companies such as Cox Printers and Bee Bold Apiaries realize this and are doing their part to make a difference.
In all it was an educational experience, as well as a great networking event in a relaxed environment shared by all. Each guest had a chance to meet a variety of local businesses, develop new relationships and share ideas. The Mayor of Linden, NJ, Richard Grebounka, stated in his presentation that it was great to see businesses growing, thriving and sharing ideas. Special thanks were given to all who participated in helping to create a successful event. Check in with Cox Printers for future events and learn how you too can make a difference.
