Courier Corp. Enjoys Record Q3 Earnings

NORTH CHELMSFORD, MA—Book manufacturing specialist Courier Corp. reported a banner third quarter, with a 20 percent increase in revenues over the same quarter last year and a 9 percent boost in net income over the same period.
Courier posted revenues of $70.4 million for the quarter, a significant increase over the $58.8 million it recorded in the third quarter of 2005. The company cited its April acquisition of publisher Creative Homeowner and strong sales in both of its operating segments as being catalysts behind the performance.
Its net income of $6.1 million was a new record for the quarter.
