DENVER—A new Inca Onset S40 six-color flatbed press has been acquired by Great Big Color. The high-speed press complements the company’s existing flatbed technology that has spot white and roll-to-roll print capabilities for the production of various point-of-purchase products.
ENGLEWOOD—Aviation chart, data and operational tools provider Jeppesen (a subsidiary of The Boeing Co.) has installed a new, 30˝ HP T300 color inkjet web press to produce oversize charts in-house. Jeppesen added six rollfed HP Indigo W7200 digital presses in 2010.
NEWARK—Modern Mail has launched a cross-media advertising campaign to spotlight the diverse marketing communications services it now offers. The company is featuring a YouTube video that offers participants a “Behind the Scenes” look at Modern Mail’s expanded digital marketing services. Specific channel components also include additional social media platforms, direct mail, Web and e-mail.
CHICAGO—RR Donnelley’s Senatobia, MS, and Lynchburg,VA, production facilities have been recertified with Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Status by the Occupational and Safety Health Administration (OSHA), signifying best safety practices, an exceptional safety record and continuous improvement.

SIMPSONVILLE—Neff Packaging Solutions is the first U.S. company to install the latest generation of Heidelberg’s Prinect Image Control spectral color measurement and quality control system. It is being used primarily with the company’s new eight-color Speedmaster CD 102 UV press in a double coating configuration.
MALDEN—A new five-color, 24×29˝ Komori Lithrone SX 29 has been chosen by The Print House to help expand its capabilities into new markets, such as signage and packaging, which require larger sheet size capabilities. The press also features an automatic plate-changing system and an advanced interface system, which allows for quick makereadies and a reduction of paper waste.
