Command Financial Expanding Its Sales Force to Support Financial Printing Growth

September 7, 2010
NEW YORK—September 7, 2010—Command Financial, a leader in document lifecycle management solutions for public corporations and investment companies, today announced plans to increase its sales force by 25 to 30 percent over the next several months. The expansion was prompted by Command’s continued growth, as well as emerging opportunities in the sector.

“We expect market conditions to be favorable for new financings over the coming months,” stated Steve Penders, President and CEO of Command Financial. “We’ve already seen an increase in financing activity and it is likely that we’ll see more public offerings registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which presents opportunities for Command to help companies meet documentation and regulatory requirements.”

The number of companies that provide these services is expected to shrink in the near future due to industry consolidation, including the pending merger of RR Donnelley and Bowne & Co, Inc., two of the largest financial printers, leaving corporations, law firms, and investment companies with fewer choices. “Many companies prefer or require using more than one financial printer to provide supplier diversification,” said Penders. “This should result in a growth rate for Command above and beyond what we have enjoyed in the past.”

Command is considering augmenting the sales team not only in the New York Metropolitan region, but also in the West, Midwest, and Southeast. “While most of our sales team is in New York City, we have clients who are leading corporations and well-known financial brands from California to New York, and Maine to Florida,” noted Penders. “We have done a very good job in leveraging best-of-breed technology to provide best-in-class service and work closely with clients irrespective of geography.”

Command Financial provides clients with a full range of financial document lifestyle management and printing services including EDGAR/XBRL, virtual deal rooms, language translation, and distribution/fulfillment.
