Cary Printing First Printer in U.S. to Earn International Green Certification

July 2007
CARY, NC— July 11, 2007—Cary Printing announced today that the company has been awarded the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), an international forest management certification. The certification is awarded to those organizations that demonstrate sustainable forest management through environmentally, socially beneficial, and economically viable business practices.

Only companies and organizations that have successfully completed an audit, by an independent and accredited certification body can claim certification. To pass the audit, a comprehensive system of principles, objectives and performance measures developed by professional foresters, conservationists and scientists to provide the long-term protection of wildlife, plants, soil and water quality must be in place.

“Cary Printing is committed to fostering a sustainable future,” said Tim Bannister, President of Cary Printing. “Our long term focus is on setting an example as an eco-friendly business that will make a difference for our clients, our children and our planet.”
