Cadmus Communications Announces Organizational Changes

November 30, 2009
COLUMBIA, MD—November 30, 2009—Cadmus Communications, a Cenveo company, today announced organizational changes within the Publisher Services Group (PSG) designed to strengthen the company’s focus on publishers in the essential information markets. The announced changes elevate leaders with extensive backgrounds in meeting the needs of scholarly publishers and emphasize a deeper commitment to providing innovative solutions to address current and future publishing requirements.

John Grinnell, formerly Executive Vice President of Global Content Services, has been promoted to Executive Vice President of PSG. In his new role, John will be responsible for all content services, conventional print, and sales operations within Cadmus PSG. John began his career with Cadmus in 1994 as a Business Director working directly with many of Cadmus’ society and commercial publisher customers. For the past nine years, John has worked in operations, gradually assuming responsibility for all U.S. and international content services operations.

“John has served professional publishers with great passion during his tenure with Cadmus. He is intimately aware of the unique needs of the scholarly publishing community. I have every confidence that under his leadership Cadmus will continue to progress in a strategic direction dedicated to helping publishers overcome tomorrow’s challenges today,” commented Harry Vinson on the value John brings to Cadmus’ ongoing ability to be an industry leader in providing solutions to publishers.

The first of several positive changes to come under the strategic plan to further align Cadmus with its publishing partners is the repositioning of the content operations in Columbia, MD as “The Publisher’s Office.” The vision for this office is built on Cadmus’ profound knowledge of the society publishing, and a complete commitment to quality and innovation. Debbie McClanahan will lead The Publisher’s Office as Vice President of Publishing Services, reporting directly to Atul Goel, Senior Vice President of Global Content Operations & Technology. Debbie brings almost 40 years of market expertise, a focus on quality, and an unwavering commitment to service to her role that will be essential to executing its mission.

The Publisher’s Office will also be the central location of an R&D team of Publishing Workflow Analyst focused on creating innovative tools that allow publishers to be on the cutting edge of preparing and delivering dynamic content. Clark Lindsay joined Cadmus on Monday, November 9, to lead this team as Director of Publishing Technologies. Prior to joining Cadmus, Clark was Vice President of Operations for ATLIS Systems, Inc. He has greater than 20 years of publishing technology experience working with such organizations as the National Library of Medicine, the American Chemical Society, AARP, IEEE, Hanley-Wood, the Library of Congress, Thomas Directories, and Thomson (Gale Research and Delmar).
