Bob Sacks to Headline 2012 NAQP Owners Conference
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—August 7, 2012—The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) announces that Bob Sacks, president and publisher of Precision Media Group, will be the keynote speaker for the 2012 NAQP Owners Conference, to be held Oct. 4-6, 2012, in Chicago. An industry member for more than 40 years, Sacks has been an editor, freelance writer, director of manufacturing and distribution, senior sales manager, circulator, chief of operations, pressman, cameraman, lecturer, and developer of website companies.
In the keynote—titled “The Future of Printing and Publishing: How Print and Magazines Will Not Only Survive but Thrive”—Sacks will cover “the technological past, present and future possibilities for printing and publishing at the digital edge,” offering a mix of “information, facts, myth busting, and humor.”
Sacks promises to bring to light the disruptive factors of changing technologies and social patterns, analysis and market predictions of printed paginated products, and the powers of the digital paginated product and why they drive revenue. Attendees will also be given practical, actionable advice that should answer the question, “What do we do now?”
This presentation will be a fitting kick-off to the conference, which is themed “Embracing Change: Finding New Paths to Profit.”
The only industry event exclusively for quick and small commercial printing company owners and managers, the NAQP Owners Conference has a rich history of delivering top-rated programming and networking opportunities for this industry segment.
Attendees will be provided with the latest and most knowledgeable insights and information for their businesses in sessions such as:
- “The Power of Follow-up” with Nancy Profitt,
- “Transitioning from Ownership: What Works and What Doesn’t” with John Hyde, and
- “Understanding and Making Google Work for You” with Jennifer Adelman.
The 2012 conference, being held this year at the DoubleTree Hotel Chicago-Magnificent Mile, will also feature the popular Ideas Exchange, Supplier Showcase, Print Excellence Awards, general sessions, and panel discussions with frontline industry executives, all geared toward arming owners and managers with plenty of resources, strategies, tactics, and tools to face the business challenges ahead.
