New Folder/Gluer Adds Capacity

CARROLLTON, GA—In its quest to continually improve efficiency, Printed Specialties, a printer/packaging manufacturer serving the food, software and entertainment industries, has added a Bobst EXPERTFOLD 110-A2 folder/gluer to its operation here. The installation adds new capacity to its existing folding operation, which includes Bobst Domino and Media folder/gluers. The firm also acquired a nearly new Bobst SP 103-ER Autoplaten diecutter with in-line blanking capabilities.

Heidelberg USA Named palamides Delivery Reseller

KENNESAW, GA—A formal agreement between Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG and palamides GmbH has designated Heidelberg USA as an authorized reseller of palamides delta automatic delivery systems for its line of Stahlfolder flat-pile, continuous-feed and pallet-fed folding machines, as well as for its Stitchmaster ST 90, ST 100, ST 350 and ST 450 saddlestitchers.

Heidelberg USA began selling, installing and servicing the palamides delta 502 (20˝) two-up automatic delivery, the three-up delta 703 (30˝) automatic delivery, the three-up 705 (30˝) and the five-up delta 1005 (40˝) automatic delivery on Sept. 16. The delta streamlines the production process by reducing the amount of time and labor involved in gathering folded or saddlestitched product onto a skid. Heidelberg will also sell Saphira consumable banderoles.

In preparation for customer demonstrations, Heidelberg USA has installed a palamides delta 703 delivery on a Stahlfolder TH 82 in its Tech Center in Kennesaw, where it can be rolled over to a Stitchmaster ST450 in a matter of minutes.
