Landmark Stacker Installed at Vertis

Mailing System Is a Match at Jersey Firm

SWEDESBORO, NJ—Direct Group, a provider in the high-volume, time-sensitive segment of the direct mail industry, has added Lake Image Systems’ IntegraVision and IntegraJet systems for document matching and in-line envelope personalization on its new high-speed mail inserting equipment for its new Direct Match mail matching capability.

IntegraVision ensures matching of multiple personalized pieces as they are inserted into closed-face envelopes on high-speed mail processing equipment. IntegraJet then personalizes the envelopes with matching variable addresses and personalized messages.

“Our ability to automatically ensure matching of personalized mail pieces to envelopes enables us to increase throughput of our highly personalized, complex mailings and increase the value proposition for our clients,” says Ray Clemmer, senior vice president and general manager of Direct Group’s 417,000-square-foot Swedesboro facility.

Trade Show a Hit For Finishing Vendor

Hanover Park, IL—Gämmerler, a manufacturer of in-line finishing equipment and systems, reported record sales at PRINT 05 with purchases totaling more than $3 million.

Order highlights include multiple equipment purchases from Quad/Graphics, Dartmouth Printing, The Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Lane Press, Transcontinental Printing and Signature Graphics. Additional orders were received from Engle Printing and Publishing, Nebraska Printing, Vox Printing and Excel Graphics.

Gämmerler’s booth showcased a full line of postpress equipment including the company’s new PL 500 log palletizer, with cycle times as fast as 15 seconds, as well as the RS 164 trimmer with double-knife trim technology. In total, orders were taken for 10 trimmer lines, six compensating stackers, four log stackers and one palletizing robot.
