Automated Solutions Network’s Next Meeting in February
PITTSBURGH—Dec. 16, 2010—Printing Industries of America has announced that the first quarter 2011 meeting of the Automation Solutions Network (formerly the JDF User Group) will be held in Wilmington, DE, Feb. 16–17, 2011, at Associates International (Ai), a leading integrated marketing services provider.
The Automation Solutions Network is an open forum established for users and vendors to discuss their automation issues and experiences with a business solutions-oriented focus. In attendance at the February 2011 meeting will be workflow experts from Agfa, Avanti, Heidelberg, Hiflex, Kodak, Xerox and a multitude of companies that have installed or implemented JDF workflows. The meeting will consist of discussions and presentations following a tour of Ai's digital facility.
“We are pleased to have Associates International host our first quarter 2011 meeting,” said Mark Bohan, Vice President, Technology and Research for Printing Industries of America, a co-organizer of the event. “The reasons for choosing Associates International were many. As a multiple CIPPI award-winning facility, Ai offers a great showcase for how automation can truly transform a business. The company demonstrates effective integration between vendors, and the culture of lean and continual improvement as it relates to operational excellence is admirable.”
“I speak for everyone at Associates International when I say that we’re thrilled to host this important industry event,” said Dave Zamorski, Chief Operating Office at Ai and invitee to the Automation Solutions Network steering committee. “It is an honor to collaborate with peers in digital printing and workflow and to share our experiences with them.”
The Automation Solutions Network is organized jointly by Printing Industries of America and CIP4. This meeting is the first of three throughout 2011. Registrants can register for the entire series ($595) or for an individual conference ($250).
