Arandell Unveils Expansion Plans

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI—The Arandell Corp. has announced it will build a new, expanded facility adjacent to its headquarters here.

“The growth of our business has pushed the limits of our present facility,” says Jim Treis, Arandell’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We are investing in this multimillion-dollar expansion to meet our customers’ needs.”

The new, 60,000-square-foot building will house a major addition in Arandell’s bindery operation, giving the company increased capacity for perfect binding. The new building will also create needed space for the company’s expanding mailing operations. This second site will be linked directly to Arandell’s headquarters.

The company plans to install a Heidelberg perfect binder and six new Heidelberg saddle stitchers in the new facility.

Arandell currently employs more than 700 people, and it anticipates hiring new employees to staff the planned facility. So far, the number of new employees has not been determined.

“We considered purchasing one of the printing companies presently up for sale. But, after extensive research, it became clear that the older technology in place at those printing companies couldn’t meet the demands of our customers. For Arandell to maintain its leadership in the catalog industry, we chose to invest in the latest, most efficient technology,” Treis remarks.

Arandell expects to have its new binding equipment installed and running by May of 2003.

Arandell handles a variety of high-quality printing work and has specialized expertise in database marketing, prepress, logistics and mailing. Its clients include some of the largest retailers and catalogers in the country, including Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Patagonia and Coach Leather.
