It would seem Franceschini was not a good a fit as anticipated, as AFL has lost contracts that effectively killed this company… Of course AFL was doing fairly well on it’s own till they brought in James W. Schubauer II as a partner. The decision to be so financially aggressive by expanding to a second print site in such times where advertising and overall print media is in decline was a risky gamble… And the employees poor decision to bring in a union when the economy is so unstable seemed to be the 1 ,2 punch that helped financially drain a company that leveraged itself to the max building the second plant… Smart moves all around.
