AmeriLam Introduces New Laminate Film that Simulates the Texture of Western Cowhide
KNOXVILLE, TN—April 15, 2014—AmeriLam Supply Group is pleased to announce one of the most exciting new products to be introduced to the print, packaging, and publishing industry in more than a decade.
LuxeFilms FineLeather laminate film, an ASG exclusive, is a special 28 micron polypropylene material. Manufactured with an embossed grain imbedded into the film, FineLeather simulates the texture of high-quality Western cowhide. The beautifully fine-grained pattern exudes a rich and varied leather feel in every application.
As a thermal laminating product, FineLeather film is easily applied utilizing standard one-sided laminating equipment. The film has a very strong surface structure, and is scratch and scuff resistant, providing excellent protection and additional strength in every application. The surface also has a sophisticated matte look, and can be foil-stamped, varnished, spot-UV’ed, glued, or embossed.
Perfect for use on high-end folding cartons, book covers, POS materials, rigid set-up boxes, or any other print project that will be frequently touched or handled, LuxeFilms FineLeather finish provides sharp color clarity and color retention. Other possibilities for use include liquor and beverage packaging, binders, business cards, portfolios and luxury products packaging.
“Even the pre-production samples generated incredible buzz,” said Steve Truan, Amerilam Supply Group partner. “FineLeather Film provides an incredible finish on nearly any type of packaging, folding carton, or printed piece—easily and quickly with a simple thermal application.”
