AlphaGraphics Kicks Off Third-Annual Food Drive

SALT LAKE CITY, UT—June 27, 2011—Business and marketing communications provider AlphaGraphics Inc. announced the start of its third-annual national food drive campaign later this week.

Set to run at participating AlphaGraphics locations across the United States during the month of July, the “AlphaGraphics Fights Hunger” drive encourages area businesses, customers and the general public to join in the non-perishable food collection efforts for local food banks. The business centers serve as drop-off points and organize the collections in their areas each year, delivering the food upon completion of the drive in August.

”The positive impact of uniting as a company to affect targeted change in our communities never fails to inspire me,” said Kevin Cushing, CEO of AlphaGraphics. “The locally owned business centers in our network collected a combined food total exceeding 31,000 pounds during our 2010 drive, and the need for donations at food pantries has not decreased. We hope this campaign continues to gain momentum as more businesses get involved, because the summer months are consistently challenging for those needing assistance.”

According to Cushing, food pantries, homeless shelters and other charities needing food usually see an influx of donations during the winter months, but by the beginning of summer, supplies are low. “This annual campaign has been uniquely timed to drive donations during a season when many don’t think to donate, but the need is still strong,” explained Cushing.
