LAWRENCE, KS—In an effort to provide competitive end-to-end publishing services for scholarly journal publishers, Allen Press, based here, and Odyssey Press of Gonic, NH, have integrated operations. The companies, which will remain separate entities, will be able to present customers with a single source for content management, digital and offset print, online publishing, association management, and publishing services.
Odyssey Press will provide digital short-run book and journal production for Allen Press accounts as well as article reprints and author billing services via the EzReprint and EzBilling online e-commerce order management and billing systems. In turn, Allen Press will provide offset print production for Odyssey Press customers that require longer print runs.
Additionally, Odyssey Press customers will be able to take advantage of the composition, peer review, online publishing, association management, editorial, and publishing services offered at the Lawrence, KS, facility. Also, Allen Press has made a capital investment in Odyssey Press that will further increase the continued investment in emerging technologies.
