Agfa-Gevaert Initiating Cost-Cutting Measures

MORTSEL, BELGIUM--Belgian imaging technology group Agfa-Gevaert plans to reduce its operational costs by 120 million euros ($163.4 million) over the coming two years, in addition to cost cuts already planned for 2008. Agfa said that the savings mainly concerned sales and general administration (SG&A) costs.
In U.S. news, Agfa Graphics has named Dennis Ouellette its new regional director of corporate accounts, a promotion from his previous digital solutions regional sales position. Tony Petchar has been named regional director for the Western United States, while Dan Maffeo, formerly of Fuji, is now Midwest regional director. Jack Baraczek (Eastern region sales director) and Peter Wilkens (sales and marketing) will continue in their current roles.
