2012 BIA Conference to Feature Tours of Three Binding/Finishing Plants
PITTSBURGH—Feb. 9, 2012—This year’s Binding Industries Assn. (BIA) Annual Conference is set to take place on June 4-6, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch in St. Louis, MO. This program is the definitive event for trade binderies, graphic finishers, custom loose-leaf manufacturers and suppliers to those industries.
Participants can take advantage of the unparalleled networking, more than a dozen sessions, interactive presentations and roundtables. In addition, plant tours featuring real-world applications are back again in 2012. Attendees will visit three facilities in the St. Louis area, each offering its own capabilities and specialties.
Plant tours include:
• Silvanus Products—Attendees will see that Silvanus Products is capable of producing all binder product lines, including vinyl (both supported and unsupported), turned edge and poly, from the most complicated to average binders at a very competitive price. It is a leading manufacturer of custom products for a variety of markets.
The company’s manufacturing and customer service teams are designed to support all levels of knowledgeable distributors, helping it build its customers’ brands through quality products. Some of the products that Silvanus specializes in include paper and vinyl, financial items, index tabs, binders, writing portfolios, diploma covers, menu covers, sample cases, and tote boxes.
• Eric Scott—Looking to tour one of the country’s premier private label manufacturers, complete with a state-of-the-art facility, which serves a wide variety of industries and business partners? Attendees will not have to look too far once they enter Eric Scott. Its industry-recognized expertise in leather craftsmanship allows the company to develop and manufacture products to specifications, qualifications and targeted price points—domestically and throughout the world.
While Eric Scott strives to meet the needs of many industries, it is qualified to serve in the following sectors: aerospace, financial printing, motorcycles, photo merchandise and publishing/journals.
