2009 Presidents Conference Shines
ORLANDO, FL—There’s nothing like Florida in early March to remind you that the doldrums of winter will soon be in the rearview mirror. Thus, the 2009 Presidents Conference, sponsored by the Printing Industries of America (PIA), allowed attendees to take a spring-like view of things to come as the year progresses. The three-day program, which carried the theme of “New Directions, Bolder Thinking,” included more than 30 solutions-based discussions and the new Young Print Professionals track. The variety of programs provided an intimate environment for attendees to customize their interests and connect with experts and practitioners throughout the sessions.
Among the session highlights was a cost-saving techniques presentation by PIA’s Gary Jones. “Consultants on Call” and “Lunch Topic Tables” were also well received by attendees.
The 2009 FUNraiser Silent Auction was a big hit, with record-breaking proceeds benefiting PrintPAC, the PIA’s Congressional lobbying committee.
